About the practice
I teach Ghanaian dance and drumming through live rhythm, movement phrases, song, and the social setting of each form. Classes in Accra welcome beginners as well as dancers and musicians seeking detailed study. Drummers and dancers learn together so that movement is understood through the rhythm rather than added afterward. I name the region, language community, occasion, and teachers connected with the material I share. My seminars include listening and historical discussion alongside physical practice. Residential retreats combine daily classes, live accompaniment, rest, and selected performances by local artists.
