About the practice
I work with didgeridoo in contemporary concerts, small listening groups, collaborative performances, and practical workshops in Darwin. Long tones, pulse, circular breathing, and silence shape the music, whether I am playing alone or with cello, handpan, and percussion. Sessions begin with a clear description of the volume and structure, and quieter seating is always available. My work is contemporary performance and teaching. I do not present it as traditional Aboriginal ceremony or offer Indigenous cultural instruction. In workshops I discuss the instrument’s origins, responsible language, and the difference between contemporary playing and cultural authority.
Training, credentials and recognition
