Your agreement
Who may submit a listing
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If you submit for an organization or another person, you confirm that you have authority to act for them and bind them to this agreement. Keep your account email and contact information current.
Acceptance
Before submitting a new or revised listing, you must confirm that you have read these guidelines, agree to them without reservation, and will follow them. SoundJourney.com may record the date, time, account, and version associated with that acceptance.
Listing standards
You are responsible for your listing
You are responsible for everything you submit and for the services, products, events, communications, and outside links connected with your listing. You must follow the laws, professional rules, permit requirements, licensing requirements, and tax obligations that apply to you and the places where you work or sell.
Be accurate
Names, locations, dates, prices, services, products, availability, and contact details must be truthful, current, and not misleading. This applies to both direct statements and impressions created by words, photographs, video, audio, testimonials, and omitted information. Correct important errors and broken links promptly.
Describe qualifications honestly
List only credentials, training, licenses, awards, affiliations, and recognition that are current and that you have received or are authorized to represent. Do not imply a license, certification, scope of practice, or professional status that you do not hold. Approval of a listing is not verification of a credential and may not be described as an endorsement by SoundJourney.com.
Support health and performance claims
Any factual claim about health, safety, performance, or results must be truthful and supported by reliable evidence before you publish it. Do not state or imply that a sound practice, product, course, event, or retreat diagnoses, prevents, treats, or cures a medical or mental-health condition unless the claim is lawful, within your licensed scope when a license is required, and supported by the level of evidence the law requires. Do not guarantee results or discourage anyone from seeking qualified medical, mental-health, or emergency care. Describing traditional use does not remove these duties.
Use testimonials honestly
A testimonial or endorsement must be genuine, authorized, and not edited or presented in a misleading way. It may not make a claim that you could not lawfully make yourself. Clearly disclose payment, free services or products, family or employment relationships, and other connections that could affect how a visitor evaluates the endorsement.
Keep listings suitable and lawful
Listings may not contain fraud, scams, impersonation, threats, harassment, hateful or discriminatory content, sexually explicit material, illegal goods or services, stolen material, malware, phishing, deceptive links, fabricated reviews or testimonials, or instructions intended to harm people or misuse the site.
Media, privacy, and permission
Use only content you may publish
You must own or have written permission to use every photograph, logo, trademark, passage of text, recording, video, quotation, and other item you submit. Obtain permission from every identifiable person shown or heard. A parent or legal guardian must give permission for a minor. Do not submit confidential client, patient, student, or health information. Do not copy another listing or impersonate anyone.
Use authentic photographs, video, and sound
Photographs, videos, music, and sound samples must be genuine records of the listed person, organization, venue, instrument, product, event, or performance. Generated or AI-created images, videos, music, and sound samples are not allowed. Sound must be created or performed by the member or credited collaborators and used with permission. Ordinary editing—including cropping, exposure and color correction, captions, mastering, and noise reduction—is allowed when it does not change who or what the media represents. Media must be reasonably clear, match its description, and use working links.
Permission to display your content
You keep ownership of your submitted content. You grant SoundJourney.com a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, resize, crop, format, transcode, display, and distribute it as needed to operate your account and listings and to promote your listing or SoundJourney.com, including on the homepage, in the newsletter, and on SoundJourney.com social-media pages. This license lasts while the content is in your account or listings, plus a reasonable period for backups and material already prepared for publication. You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this license.
Sales, events, and accessibility
Be clear about prices and outside services
State prices, material conditions, shipping terms, booking rules, cancellation terms, and refund terms accurately when they apply. Outside links must lead where the listing says they do. You remain responsible for your sales, reservations, customer service, taxes, charge disputes, and compliance with consumer-protection laws.
Protect participants and visitors
Event, retreat, course, and venue advertisers are responsible for lawful operation, suitable insurance when required, reasonable safety precautions, qualified staff, emergency planning, and accurate information about location, travel, lodging, food, physical activity, risks, and participant requirements.
Describe accessibility carefully
Mark step-free access only when visitors can reach the advertised activity without using stairs. Disclose known limits such as narrow doorways, gravel paths, steep ramps, inaccessible restrooms, or limited parking. An accessibility symbol reports information supplied by the advertiser; it is not a certification or guarantee from SoundJourney.com.
Directory role and placement
Advertiser-supplied promotional content
Public listings are promotional profiles supplied by advertisers. A Free practitioner listing may be published without charge. Paid membership affects the features, appearance, and placement a listing receives as described on the current plan page. SoundJourney.com does not independently write, verify, recommend, or endorse a listing.
No promised position or results
Higher paid levels may appear before lower levels, and listings may rotate within a level. No advertiser buys a permanent first position. SoundJourney.com cannot guarantee page position or traffic, or that you will receive clients, enquiries, bookings, sales, or other business from advertising with us. Sample listings are fictional demonstrations and do not promise a particular outcome.
Review and corrections
Approval and ordinary revisions
Administrative approval permits a listing to appear; it does not mean that SoundJourney.com has vetted the advertiser or guaranteed the content. SoundJourney.com may request corrections, reject submitted content, or limit publication when a listing does not follow these guidelines. During review of an ordinary revision, the last approved version remains public until the revision is approved.
Serious concerns
SoundJourney.com may temporarily hide affected content or a listing when there is a serious legal, safety, fraud, ownership, or accuracy concern. The advertiser will ordinarily receive the reason and a reasonable opportunity to respond. Unresolved serious concerns may lead to removal of content or the account under the Terms of Use.
Required corrections and account action
If you decline a required correction or do not respond after notice, SoundJourney.com may remove content, suspend publication, or end the account. SoundJourney.com will normally refund unused full months of a paid term that it ends solely because an ordinary content issue was not resolved. A refund may be denied for fraud, threats, scams, stolen material, serious safety risks, or repeated deliberate violations, subject to applicable law.
Copyright complaints
SoundJourney.com may hide or remove content after receiving a credible copyright or ownership complaint. It may notify the advertiser, request proof of permission, accept a lawful counter-notice, and act against repeat infringers. Copyright and ownership reports may be sent through the contact page.
Questions and reconsideration
If you do not understand a requested change or believe a decision was mistaken, use the contact page to ask for an explanation or reconsideration. Visitors may also use that page to report inaccurate or unsafe content.
Membership, cancellation, and refunds
Free listings and paid membership
A Free practitioner listing has no membership charge. The features, price, billing period, and any introductory offer for a paid plan are shown before payment authorization. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Coupons follow the conditions attached to the particular code.
When paid billing begins
Stripe securely saves the chosen payment method while you prepare a paid listing. SoundJourney.com does not store the full card number. The payment method is charged only when the listing is approved and published. The amount, billing frequency, automatic-renewal terms, and cancellation method are presented before you authorize billing.
Automatic renewal
Monthly memberships renew each month. Annual memberships renew every 12 months after the first term. SoundJourney.com sends a reminder 15 days before renewal and will give any additional notice required by applicable law for a price or material membership change. Cancel before the renewal date to prevent the next charge.
Opening annual offer
New annual practitioner members who complete Stripe payment setup by December 31, 2026 receive 15 months for the regular annual price. The offer remains attached to that setup while the member prepares a profile. It applies only to the first annual term. Later annual renewals cover 12 months. Monthly plans do not receive extra months.
How to cancel
Sign in to your SoundJourney.com account, open Membership & billing, and choose “Manage payment and renewal with Stripe.” Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term unless the cancellation confirmation says otherwise, and paid features remain available through that date. If you cannot or do not wish to use the authenticated online account, request another cancellation method through the contact page.
At the end of a paid practitioner term, the profile moves to Free-level public features. Any custom profile address remains reserved, and paid media and event drafts remain saved privately. A paid business, school, product, or venue listing leaves public view but remains saved. Removing or hiding content does not itself cancel billing.
Service interruption credit
If paid SoundJourney.com membership features are unavailable because of an unplanned SoundJourney.com outage lasting more than 24 consecutive hours, affected paid members will receive a credit for the entire verified outage, calculated in proportion to their membership price. The credit will be applied to the next charge. If no later charge occurs, the member may request the equivalent refund. This does not apply to announced maintenance, a member’s device or internet connection, or an outside service that remains available separately from SoundJourney.com.
Refunds
Except for refunds and credits promised in these guidelines or required by law, paid membership charges are non-refundable. If a duplicate or incorrect charge appears, contact SoundJourney.com promptly through the contact page.
Changes and contact
SoundJourney.com will notify you of any material change to these agreements, explain when it is intended to take effect, and ask you to accept or decline it. We will not treat silence as acceptance. The notice will explain what happens if you decline or do not respond within 30 days. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the version you already accepted will continue to govern the current paid term. Declining or not responding to a later version does not cancel that term, release an amount already due, or create a right to a refund. It may limit new submissions or revisions, prevent another paid renewal, or end the listing at the close of the current paid term. Changes will not be applied retroactively unless you expressly agree or applicable law permits it. Questions and reports may be sent through the contact page.
